Personal:

I've been running since high school (mid-1990s) and do pretty well when I'm focused on a goal. My main problem  is running consistently when I'm NOT training for something specific. I'm an attorney, and I've been married to my husband, also a runner (but not a blogger-I'm trying!), for 4 years. We live in Phoenix, Arizona.

Oh man. Sorry you've been so sick, Shauna. Chicken soup! Emergen-C! Garlic! These are just some of the things people are always suggesting. Good luck!

Hey Shauna! What a rough week, sick AND a car wreck?! Sorry to hear about that. Glad you're not too hurt after the wreck. I'm way jealous about the Dave M. concert!

Sorry to hear about being sick! That really sucks. I usually take and extra zinc vitamin along with a multi vitamin. Zinc helps boost your immune system. Hope your drinking lots of liquids. Get better soon. Don't get too discouraged!! You are still awesome.

I was so sick too for like 2 weeks, and then got injured on top of it. I hear you! I'm trying not to panic over how much time I lost. I just started feeling better this week. I was literally flat on my back for 5 days straight. Look forward to seeing you at SGM! You'll be ok. Rest up, and get better.

I hope you are feeling better! Keep preparing for SG!

Hey Chica- How's it going? Any luck getting some miles in? Hope you're feeling better!!

Shauna, where are you???

From Shauna on Sep 08, 2008 at 11:37:18

Hi everyone. Thanks for checking in. I guess the best answer to where I am is...at the office. I work so much better on decent amounts of sleep, which I was not getting when I was training. My career is front and center right now, and, unfortunately, I am not good at doing things in moderation. I'm trying to figure out how to fit it all in, and it's not working very well...Sigh...I need to figure some stuff out!

From Lucia on Sep 08, 2008 at 15:53:58

Thanks for the update Shauna - we were all worried out here. You've had some tough times this past few months, but sounds like you know your priorities. If you need a break from running for now, then that's what you need to do! Hang in there, work hard, and keep us posted!
